Event - 12 September 2003
Wandered out to the postbox this afternoon and saw an assortment
of people hanging around in their best duds. Don't ladies love dressing up
for a wedding!
That's what it was! I suddenly remembered that my nephew Michael Paul Kerr and
his lovely lady Sally Hoodless had come over for the weekend to attend the
wedding of one of his great friends, Janine Fleming - and there she was, with
her Dad Paddy, looking resplendent.
Janine is a super girl, a lovely person. May she be
forever happy in married life - with lots of wee'ns, if the good Lord blesses
the union.
Janine and Michael Paul are among a flock of young people in the village who
startle and amaze me with their Degrees and Doctorates. You don't expect the
little children you know from years back to suddenly blossom with PhD's - Janine
in Mathematics & Michael in Psychology.
God be with them.
Couldn't get a good photo of Michael and Sally.
I had to nip back into the house for my camera & they were moving into the
church.
But here's one I took earlier! At Sheffield University, when Mick
was awarded his Doctorate.
