A Cartoon Visitor - Monday 29 september 2003

There's a big fella called Ivan, a friend of mine, who occasionally knocks on my door.

If I am not at home he quickly sketches something, usually on the back of an envelope, and leaves it as his calling card.

This is his latest - a self-portrait - totally realistic I assure you, with his mutt Zorro, one of the most intelligent dogs I have ever met, unlike his owner, who is a big six-foot-four nineteen-stone creature (can't quite work this out in metrics - but it's big).  He has so far broken three of my chairs by simply sitting down - and what's worse he's a Protestant! - well, maybe a Protestant Hindu or something like that!  I dunno why I let him into the house.  Maybe it's because of his cartoons.
